My First Workshop!

Hey, Y'all! I teamed up with Story Forge and Paul C Buff for my first ever workshop on June 12th, 2018. This first workshop was an introduction to product photography. I covered everything from my tethered workflow, to using guides and overlays, and showed two different lighting setups that I use for product photography. We had fantastic attendance at this first workshop and I'm really excited to do some more basic and more advanced workshops in the future.

Below is a quick teaser video from my workshop with Story Forge and Paul C Buff. It also features Jeff Carpenter from Ready Light Media and Jess Williams. I am really looking forward to doing more workshop with Story Forge and Paul C Buff in the future. At some point, there will be a full video of the workshop released. These workshops are about learning, interacting and ultimately creating. They give you a glimpse into how photographers from various creative fields interact and work on set.

About Story Forge

Story Forge is a studio space for musicians and artists located less than 10 minutes from downtown Nashville. Any artist or arts-allied professional is welcome to become a member or rent their space by the day. They have three amazing studios a white Cyc, a green Cyc, and a headshot studio. It is an amazing space to work out of. It is also an amazing space for a workshop. They made setting up my first workshop super easy.

About Paul C Buff

Paul C Buff is a lighting manufacturer based in Nashville, TN. They make top quality professional lights for an amazing price. They have the absolute best customer service in the business. I have been using their lights for the past ten years it will be eleven years in October.

Wrapping It Up

I just want to say that I am super happy that I have gotten to partner with both Story Forge and Paul C Buff on this series. I have been teaching photography classes for the last few years at Nossi College of Art and it is great to take what I have learned about teaching and start teaching my own workshops as well. I really love teaching people new tips and tricks to help improve their photography businesses. What workshops would you all like to see me do in the future?
